The Floating Dock Lift Ladder has a fixed portion that extends only 14 1/2inches down from the top of the dock. This means that a 7 step ladder hangs down only 6 feet, a 6 step ladder hangs down only 5 feet etc. All our other ladders extend down the same number of feet as steps.
